Ka Moana Luau takes place at Aloha Tower, an iconic symbol of Hawaii. The lighthouse and harbor acted as a welcoming beacon to all those who visited the islands. The port and harbor are still operational and primarily used by cruise ships, but the Aloha Tower is now part of a larger Aloha Tower Marketplace, home to a variety of stores, event spaces, restaurants, and Ka Moana Luau.
Set in the historic landmark, the luau experience is curated to take its guests through a journey across Polynesian islands, their culture, and food, in a festive atmosphere. Feel the warm Hawaiian hospitality, participate in the cultural activities, and embrace the family spirit of Ohana on your visit.

Absolutely. Families with kids of all ages are welcome, and the luau experience involves participation through fun activities before the show begins. The family-style atmosphere makes it a great introduction to Hawaiian and Polynesian culture for younger guests.
Before the buffet and main performance begin, guests can enjoy hands-on cultural demonstrations and activities like hula lessons, coconut husking, headband weaving, and lei making.
Comfortable, resort-casual clothing is perfect. Many guests wear Aloha shirts, sundresses, or light island wear. Because the event is outdoors by the ocean, it’s wise to bring a light jacket or shawl for the evening breeze.
From arrival through the final fire-knife performance, expect to spend about 2.5 to 3 hours at the event. The evening includes pre-show activities, dinner service, and the full Polynesian show that spans dances and traditions from Hawaii, Samoa, and Tahiti.
Ka Moana Luau is a rain-or-shine event. Most seating areas are covered, and in case of unsafe weather conditions, Ka Moana Luau’s staff will get in touch with you about rescheduling or cancellations.
The finale, which is the Samoan fire-knife dance, is an unforgettable spectacle. Performed by skilled fire dancers against the night sky, it captures the energy and spirit of Polynesia.
