About Show

Enjoy a live Polynesian show by the ocean, under the stars while you are surrounded by palm trees. Germaine's Luau offers a traditional Hawaiian luau experience with cultural activities, ceremonies, a feast, ending with a show that tells the story of Hawaiian and Polynesian history and mythology through hula, fire knife dancing, fire poi performances, and more.

Start with an Aloha welcome with a lei greeting, participate in hands-on cultural activities that include Kupe'e making, which is where you make your own fresh floral hairpiece, or get a traditional Polynesian motif temporary tattoo (Moko). Listen to live music from across Polynesia and hear the conch shell marking the start of the Imu ceremony, indicating the beginning of your luau feast. Watch the kalua pig getting unearthed from the Imu, the underground oven, and enjoy a Hawaiian-American buffet-style feast on the shores of Oahu before the start of the show.

The Story

Germaine's Luau started in the early 1970s, and the luau and show experience embodies the spirit and essence of old Hawaii. Over the years, they have evolved their experience and offerings, but they still proudly maintain their Aloha spirit that defines them. From the shell lei greeting upon arrival, to the conch shell announcing the beginning of the celebration, the Imu ceremony, and the retelling of Hawaiian history through the live show, the experience, coupled with the maintained lands of the beachfront property, is a testament to Hawaiian hospitality.
